Without this you can't achieve your big goals

Let’s look at the importance of pain. You may have heard of the principles of pain and pleasure before, through psychology, or pop psychology, or even self-improvement books talking about that. However, what I’m talking about is, actually embracing your pain. Embracing your pain to get to the touch down, to get to the goal you’re trying to achieve.

Here’s what I mean.

There’s a great analogy using pregnancy, where when a woman gets pregnant, there’s this great blessing coming in nine or ten months, depending on how you count;)

So, in nine months, there is going to be this new baby but imagine as she’s going through the pregnancy she  starts saying things like: “My ankles are getting big. I’m getting stretch marks. I have to pee non-stop. Oh my God, my back hurts. I can’t sleep. Oh doctor, give me a pill, stop the pain.” Could you imagine? It wouldn’t make sense.

The important part to notice is that you have to go through that pain in order to have that baby.

Now for you, it may not be a physical baby, maybe it’s a new career, maybe it’s a new relationship, maybe it’s getting the body you’ve always wanted, maybe it’s making that touchdown in your money or your income finally. Understand that you have to go through the pain of getting to that new level, because how you behaved in the past won’t get you to where you want to go.

So, it’s gonna feel uncomfortable. It’s gonna hurt. It’s gonna test you. But that test is so important in order to get to the breakthrough that you are striving for. Does that make sense?

To give birth to the baby of your career, or your finances, or your relationship, or your body, you’re gonna have learn to embrace the pain. If you do that, you will find a way to win.
